Learn ‘Real English with Real Teachers’
Say hello to the REWRT boys (Real English with Real Teachers). You may have heard of them and if you haven’t, where have you been? Charlie and Harry launched their YouTube channel in 2016 and have hundreds of thousands of subscribers! If you want to learn how real English speakers really interact, then these are the guys for you. We caught up with the dynamic duo to discuss all things language learning.
Real English is all about how native English speakers really express themselves. We don’t all sound like the queen, or use “Queen’s English”, but there are some posh expressions that most people do use.
We also like to cover topics related to cultural differences. Just because someone from the UK and someone from Australia speak English, doesn’t mean that we express ourselves in the same way. It can be very different!
We also like to have a bit of fun along the way. Who says language learning can’t be fun? You don’t always want to be conjugating verbs or looking at tenses. Sometimes you want a good laugh with some British sarcasm thrown in.
You might be wondering why we chose to partner with Lingoda. Well, for us it was obvious! Who wouldn’t want to learn another language with real teachers and have the chance to do it for free?! We are, of course, talking about the Lingoda Sprint.

We launched our YouTube channel, Real English with Real Teachers, in 2016 and now have more than 130K subscribers and well over 3 million views! It’s crazy to think that so many people have tuned in to view our videos but we are also glad that we’ve (hopefully) been able to help a lot of people with their English skills. Our channel is the ideal preparation for people who might be taking their IELTS or Cambridge tests. It’s all about teaching them how people really speak, and that’s also a reason why we love Lingoda.
Some people think language learning is boring, but they’re wrong! It’s all about how you do it. We ask the important questions! We get out on the streets in the UK and Australia and talk proper English. We want to give our students real life experiences of how people really talk, just like Lingoda. When you take lessons with Lingoda, it’s like being out on the streets of London! You’ll experience new teachers, accents and topics – just like you would in the real world.
You really can learn from YouTube. You can choose to have subtitles on our videos to help you follow along with what we are saying. After a while, you’ll realise you won’t need them anymore, and your listening skills will have massively improved! You might feel a bit silly, but when you’re watching our videos, copy what we are saying out loud. It’ll help with your accent and you’ll learn some great idioms and sayings along the way.

Watch our videos, repeat what we say, check out Netflix films, join meetups and take the Lingoda Sprint! Becoming fluent in a language means you’ve got to come at it from different angles. This works with any language – not just English! Mix things up, speak everyday, and most importantly, have fun.
