I joined in January 2021. I had an old colleague and friend working at Lingoda, so I was a referral, but the strongest motivation was and still is the passion for languages, we all share here. As a language enthusiast, I could not think of a better place to work than one where there is a culture of innovation and growth.
I started as a Recruiting Coordinator and after one year I moved on to Employer Branding. I am now the People Engagement Specialist, a position for which knowledge and experience in both recruitment and employer branding are needed.
There are two big and exciting projects I am involved in; I am working on revamping our company’s core values and on launching a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion education platform for all Lingodies. For both projects, we make sure to hear the voice of the employees and we address their needs first and foremost. The outcome must first inspire Lingodies and then show the world who we are and how we operate. So this time is about shaping our culture from within.
From the start, my managers have shown a lot of trust in my judgment. They’ve given me the freedom to work and develop things in the way I believe is best, while still offering support. I feel my contribution actively and drastically shapes Lingoda’s culture and my team’s work. It is a huge reward to see your ideas and actions reach your colleagues and the organization change. At the core of Lingoda’s product, technology meets human-led teaching and solutions. Since we are putting humans first in our product, imagine how important this is in our culture.
