Today, we’re interviewing Urte Sinisi, who joined Lingoda in June 2022, inspired by the company’s mission and multifaceted approach. Intrigued by the blend of B2C, B2B, and B2G services, and impressed by the company culture, Urte embarked on a rewarding journey.
We will learn about Urte’s career path at Lingoda, from starting as a Senior Strategy Consultant to leading the launch of Lingoda Teams, our latest B2C product. We’ll explore how this new role differs from her previous one, and what she values most about being part of Lingoda’s vibrant and international team.
I became a part of Lingoda’s team in June 2022. What truly inspired me to join Lingoda was their strong and purpose-driven mission, which I resonated with. I was drawn to the multifaceted nature of the organisation: We are actively engaged not only in serving individual consumers but also in building partnerships in the business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) sectors. Additionally, the people I met during the interview process left a very positive impression on me, further strengthening my belief in the company’s culture and values.
I started my journey at Lingoda in the role of Senior Strategy Consultant. This position offered me a dynamic range of responsibilities: from overseeing the company’s OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) process to leading and working on cross-functional initiatives, as well as contributing to Board materials.
Despite finding immense fulfilment in my consulting role over the last 6+ years, I felt it was time to transition towards a more hands-on, execution-oriented role. Lingoda recognized my evolving aspirations, potential and growth, and after an internal interview process, I was presented with an exciting opportunity to take on a new challenge – to lead the launch of a groundbreaking B2C product. This is how I became the Team Lead of Lingoda Teams.
Currently, my main focus is on growing Lingoda Teams, a collaborative effort involving over 60 colleagues that has transformed from concept to a fully operational product.
In contrast to my previous role, where my responsibilities were centered on providing support to various teams for a limited duration, I am now fully immersed in the role of the accountable owner of a B2C product. This entails making strategic decisions, leading a dedicated team, and fostering collaboration across departments. The goal is to continuously improve both our product and performance metrics.
