New product updates for Lingoda English students!
We have added the possibility to take exciting, new classes that don’t normally belong to Lingoda’s specialised learning plans. Find out how you can access them for free!
Lingoda’s new classes are available for students of English at levels B1, B2 and C1. If you are already a Lingoda student, you will find the new lessons in the “My course” page, you simply have to click on the arrow where it shows course levels until you find the courses. Alternatively, you can also use the level filter in the “Book classes” page or simply follow this link.
There are two types of new lesson types available to you: ‘Real-life American English’ (for B2+ students) and ‘open discussion’ lessons.
Our new ‘real-life American English’ lessons focus on teaching you the expressions and vocabulary that Americans really use. You won’t find any textbook language or strange sentences, you’ll learn what people are really saying in normal conversations.
The lessons are are aimed at English students with at least a B2 level of proficiency.
Each of the American English lessons focuses on a different real-life situation, such as: at a party (Having a blast!), at the doctor’s (As sick as a dog). In these lessons, you’ll take part in discussions which include phrases and sentences you are likely to hear.
Another new add-on for Lingoda students! We have listened to Lingoda student feedback and, as a result, we have created Lingoda’s ‘open discussion’ lessons. These lessons are available for English students studying levels B1, B2 and C1.
In our open discussion classes, you will have more time to talk and practise your language skills. Your teacher will have topics and questions prepared to help you have an interesting conversation.
We currently have two big topics per level: Current affairs (politics, news, social trends, etc.) and new films and TV series. These classes are perfect if you really want to practise your language skills with a native speaking teacher. You’ll grow in confidence and expand your vocabulary, quickly.
Another amazing new feature available to our English learners is the possibility to take free, interactive homework activities. There are 15 available per lesson which are unlocked on the class page together with the quiz once the class is finished.
Each homework activity should take you between 10-20 minutes to complete. We have more than 10 different exercise types including multiple choice, drag the words, fill in the blanks or flashcards. You can also complete listening and speaking exercises. You can learn on the go and skip the exercises which aren’t relevant for you at that moment (for instance, if you have a speaking exercise but you’re on the tube or listening exercises if you don’t have your headphones available). You can go back and retake the exercises anytime you wish!
