Meet our students

Very good website for learning language, the learning material is very broad (writing, speaking, vocabulary, grammar...) and the teachers are native and very, very good! I'm very happy I found Lingoda. Good job to all the teachers!

I can honestly say that for me, at least, Lingoda is the only game in town I'd consider for French and Spanish. The annual packages really make it affordable. I only wish they'd add more languages. The updates to Lingoda have really improved the student's ability to select and choose courses within the series.
Michael E.
I have been with Lingoda for around three years. On and off I come back to studying and refreshing my Spanish skills. I really like that I can pick a lesson, any topic, any teacher, any time. Lingoda gives a good opportunity to plan your week ahead. I highly recommend this platform. Good luck to everybody und bleiben Sie gesund!

I've done just under 100 lessons with Lingoda now, learning Spanish A2. And I've seen a huge improvement. Small classes, lots of talk time, a good mix of reading, writing, speaking, listening practice. The teachers are always good and you can book lessons to suit your calendar.
Kathleen S.
I have not had a single bad experience with Lingoda. The teachers that I worked with learning Spanish were fantastic. Everyone was friendly and enthusiastic about sharing their language. There was always room to ask questions, and we learned so much! Not to mention, behind the scenes, they have great customer service.
Christy
Learning language requires spending time for it. I force myself with Lingoda. But, this way it is always fun and my Spanish is very very much improved. Everyone has noticed. There are some really amazing teachers and exquisite linguists in its staff, which is great if you want to develop a deeper understanding of a language.

What is an intensive Spanish course?

An intensive Spanish course is a fast-paced language program, intended to facilitate rapid progression through a language course. This learning model is ideal if you’re able to dedicate time and effort to language acquisition in short bursts, or if you’re facing time pressure and want to develop new skills as quickly as possible.

Lingoda’s intensive Spanish course is known as the  Language Sprint and serves as a 2-month learning challenge. You’ll have the choice of either 15 or 30 classes per month and will learn from qualified, native-level speakers, in classes of 3 to 5 students. If you finish the Sprint and follow the rules, you can even earn 50% of your money back.

How long does it take to learn Spanish intensive?

The intensive Spanish course offered by Lingoda will last for 2 months and provide either 30 or 60 hours of instructed learning in total, depending on whether you opt for 15 or 30 classes per month.

This is enough time to make significant progress with your Spanish learning. As an example, it takes roughly 70 hours to reach the first level of certification (A1) on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, if you’re starting from a position of zero knowledge of the language.

If you’re enjoying the Sprint course, you also have the option of taking back-to-back Sprint courses.

What do you learn in the intensive Spanish course?

Lingoda’s intensive Spanish course is structured in accordance with the  Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which is a globally recognized standard for language acquisition. This ensures your lessons will follow a logical progression pattern and you’ll be able to earn language certificates that will also be widely recognized.

Our intensive Spanish course covers the A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels of the CEFR. This means you can go from the absolute beginner stage of language learning, all the way to the upper-intermediate level, where you’ll be able to understand the main ideas from complex topics and start to speak with spontaneity and a degree of fluency.

Your lessons during an intensive Spanish course online with Lingoda will be based on your current ability level. If you’re unsure of what language level you’re currently at, you can take our  free placement test to get a better idea.

What's the quickest you can fluently learn Spanish?

While there’s no universally agreed point at which a person becomes fluent in Spanish, it’s generally accepted that you reach a degree of fluency and spontaneity once you earn your B2 level certificate. At Lingoda, we cover levels A1 to B2, meaning you could become proficient enough for spontaneous interactions via our intensive Spanish course.

In terms of  how long it takes to learn Spanish, if you’re starting from a place of zero knowledge, you can expect to take upwards of 500 hours of learning to reach the B2 level. For full professional proficiency, it will usually take around 600 to 750 class hours. However, the exact time will depend on your dedication to learning.

Are intensive Spanish courses worth it?

Intensive Spanish courses are a good way to make rapid progress and are ideal if you’re facing time pressure or simply want to challenge yourself. By dedicating yourself in short two-month bursts, you can achieve great results.

If you’d prefer to adopt a more casual pace, however, the  Flex and  Teams courses from Lingoda are also good options, allowing you to ease up on the intensity levels and learn in a way that suits your needs.
